Roman Mythology

In Roman mythology, Saturn was the god of agriculture. Every December 17th, in Roman times, Saturnalia was celebrated beginning on December 17th, and at various times extended to 7 days of celebrations, creating a period of goodwill, devoted to banquets and the exchange of visits and gifts.

The Korean nation, according to its mythology, began when a god named Hwanung transformed a bear into a woman and married her. Their child, Tangun, created the Choson (“Land of the Morning Dawn”) Kingdom in 2333 BC, the starting point of the Korean calendar.
